Subject: Ruby Update

Hi Paula,

Ruby is an amazing little girl! She rode quietly home with us on Friday. When we arrived home, she made herself at home immediately. We took her to the backyard to take care of business. She acted like she had never felt grass but she knew exactly what to do.
Our Kitty behaved as expected-she just pretends Ruby is not there. Ruby tries to say hi but knows not to get to close until Kitty is comfortable.
She sleeps peacefully in her crate at night.
Attached are a couple pictures of our Ruby Redbird. She is the love of our lives.

Thank you so much!
Ruby definitely completes our family.

Hi Paula,

I just wanted to send you a first week update! We decided to name him Frankie and he seems to have taken to his name. He is such a doll and has been terrific for everything. He is doing great on house training and he loves all of our other pets and friends. He is especially fond of my son Christian and they have become fast friends. He did well for his first bath and fluff dry from me today. ( I had to bathe him because he ran under my dog sasha while she piddled LOL ) He has the best personality and he is completely fearless. Thank you again so much for my sweet Frankie but thank you for all the love and hard work you put into your dogs.

Talk to you soon,

Hello Paula!

I wanted to send you an update about our puppy. Jared and I named him Henry : )

Henry is doing wonderfully. He slept through the night last night and is starting to treat his crate like a home. He also knows how to "sit" and we are working on "down"! He is so smart, I already treasure this little puppy.

I took him to the vet on Tuesday as I said, and he charmed the entire office. All the vet techs wanted to hold him and carry him around! He checked out perfectly.

Please enjoy the picture I attached. Jared and I are so pleased we decided to bring Henry home.

Thank you for our new family member!

Subject: Sassy and Bucky

Hi Paula,

I was wanted to let you know that everyone seems to be doing really good and getting adjusted to their new home. Sassy is adjusting to being spoiled really well. She wants me to pick her up all of the time (and of course I usually do). She is so sweet and laid back, I am absolutely loving her. I love to see how excited she is when I get up in the morning and when I get home from work in the afternoon.

Holly and Bucky (Sassy's puppy) get a long great. The first night we tried to separate all three of the dogs, but Bucky did NOT like being by himself. About 2:00 am, the first night, we ended up putting Holly in with Bucky so that everyone could sleep, and it work great. Last night we put the two of them together again and did not have any problems. Bucky sleeps right next to Holly, and now Holly will cry if she is not with Bucky. I guess they will be best friends. Once Sassy gets her stitches out, and we don't have to watch her so close, then the three of them will be together all of the time. I feel bad for Sassy because I know she wants to play with them but I don't let her because I don't want her to get hurt. Holly and Bucky's playing can get carried away sometimes.

I will take some pictures of all three of them soon and send them to you.

Thank you so much! We are all loving our new babies!

Please keep me updated on George and his procedure. We will be praying for y'all.

Talk to you soon,

Subject: Sassy

Hi, Paula! How are you and George doing? I keep wondering if he's doing any better so decided to send you a note.

Sassy is wonderful. She knows how to sit, lay down, stay and come on demand so we're making progress. everyone thinks she's the cutest dog they've ever seen. I actually gave your name and number to a guy and Had the house sprayed for bugs also this morning and he asked where I had gotten her to. Took my number and said they weren't quite ready yet but would be in the near future and would callme to get your number. We're also taking her to training class every Wednesday and she is the character of the group. She just loves other dogs and all people so she has a hard time concentrating there but I do real well with her at home.

My grandkids love her and she does really well with them too. I was afraid my little autistic grandson would be a problem but she does well with him too. They must sense that there is a problem. He pulled her hair the other day and she never growled or anything.

I just love her to death. Had her to the vets also and she gained a pound in three weeks. I wouldn't let them give her all the shots she needed at one time so am going back in three week intervals to handle it. She also had an ear infection so I'm putting drops in her right ear. I noticed she was scratching it a lot.

Anyway, let me know how you are, please.

Hello Paula, I hope you are doing well!

Not sure if you remember me, but my Mom and I visited you in June of last
year and took home three wonderful little boysŠ

Wanted to let you know they are doing great, just had their year vet
checkup and the Dr. is extremely happy with how healthy they areŠ as I
emailed you just after getting the boys, he was impressed with your
paperwork and immunization process. He says now after a year of watching
the boys grow, he will recommend his clients to you if they are looking
for poodles.

We had a lot of adjusting to do in this last year, but it is GREAT having
all three, even Mom ( if you recall was hesitant) is loving it. So glad
we took the plunge and would do it all over again.

Attached is a pic of their first birthday party, my friend has twin 3 year
old girls that came over for the party.

Thanks so much for the care you put into the breeding process, I have
three great little boys.

Hi Paula! Thank you for the info, I'll shoot her an email today.
The baby is GREAT!
I want to send you some pictures of her with all of her new friends but that would require that she be still for 2 seconds and that hasn't happened yet!
She's a riot!
She gets her first haircut today --- wish us luck!
She LOVES her little stuffed teddy bear and her stuffed piggie. She prances around the house with them in her mouth and hums. I've never heard a dog do what she does! It sounds like humming. It's probably a very low growl as she pushes her toys into everybody's faces (thank God all the dogs here have the patience of Job ) and hums her little happy hums.
We are very happy with her although I do have to say she is VERY high maintenance! I think she may be the smartest dog we've ever had. It will be a challenge keeping her occupied!
How is the move going? Still on? How is George? Give him a big wet sloppy kiss from me!
As soon as Lady Bug slows down from warp speed I'll try to get a picture!
Take care,
ps, another of Pixie's babies (from Rowdy whelped in 2011) is being placed as a seizure detection service dog. Wanted you to know since these dogs have to be born that way. You can't simply "train" a dog to do it. That makes two miniatures from Pixie/Rowdy that have become service dogs in this capacity. Just wanted you to know...

Hi Paula,
I wanted to send you yet another e-mail and more adorable pictures. Frankie is so AWESOME! I love him so so so much and I cannot get over how sweet and smart he is. I have never come across such a well bred and even tempered pup ( and that is saying a lot since I have worked with animals for over 6 years ). He just has the best personality, sweet heart and gentle nature. He truly is like a child to me and I cherish him so dearly. We went for our third set of boosters last friday but they decided to wait on the rabies until he is a little older and 1 pound heavier. He is now officially a pro at grooming and sits well for his face, feet, fanny trims. And he LOVES water. I always find him playing in the water bowls ! Too cute! And we are currently learning our basic commands and how to walk on a harness. He is the best little guy ever and he brings me so much joy and happiness! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to this breed and your own dogs. Thank you again!!

Hi Paula! Keep hoping I'll hear from you one day Hope you and George are okay. Can't help worry some when I don't hear from you.

Little Sassy is doing just great. I'll attach a recent picture of her for you so you can see how cute she is. We get so many compliments on her when we're out and about. She has got the doggy door down pat now and very rarely has an accident. She graduated from the training class we went to and has learned a lot more tricks since then. I couldn't ask for a better dog around my grandchildren. She is even GREAT with my little 3 year old autistic grandson. He has pulled her hair several times and she just sits there and has never growled, shown her teeth or anything. I was so worried about him.

Anyway, we are fine. Charlie has to have some back surgery next week but other than that things are good.
Please let me know you and Geoge are okay. I particularly worry that he is not doing well. You're so tuff (like me) it would take a lot to get you down.

I'm sure you're enjoying the cooler weather like we are.

Take care,

Subject: Message from Rollie

uh-ha, uh-ha, uh-ha . . .

Hi Paula, Rollie here.

Excuse my panting but I just ran in from outside - there's business to be done out there and I'm all for good business! I just celebrated my 2nd birthday on February 17th. I treated myself to a day of running around with other dogs at a day care. At home I'm the lone dog but wow, do I have lots of friends now. Of course, I didn't get in my usual and customary sleeping hours but I ran around all day with my friends and now have a whole new perspective on life.
Sleeping is still my #1 sport although I love to fetch and just goof around, tossing pillows off the sofa or slyly begging for treats by sitting at the pantry door. Sooner or later "they" miss me and find me patiently waiting.
My owners have been so good to me. At night I sleep in cozy beds covered with quilts. I even have my own blanket for my black-bar hotel room where I stay when my owners leave the house. I enjoy treats and get to eat some really good stuff like carrots, apples, bananas, and oranges. Yes, I do like oranges. I know I need to exercise good manners as Mom is always saying "Manners!" when I forget. When my butt hits the floor, we're good. Of course, you know I want to be a good boy but I'm still a puppy in many ways and I show lots of excitement for many things . . . treats being one of them.
Life is good at my house. I get my food, my walks, my treats, my shots, my flea and heart worm medicine to keep me healthy and toys - lots of toys. Did you know it's possible to chew through almost anything in less than 5 minutes? Me? I'm quite fond of ears, loose arms, legs and anything that sticks out. I like to grapple with the smaller pieces like ears or bow ties or tags. It may be a challenge for most but not me. That's my specialty. Often a limb has to be amputated because I've been a little too vigorous but no worry, I just move onto the next limb!
Thank you for finding me such a good home. In return I provide lots of kisses and attention. Mom likes this thing called "hugs" and I find it very comforting, too. Mom hugs me every day and tells me how glad she is that I'm part of the family. My "brother", if you will, loves to hold me, too. I cuddle in his arms as he plays music on his computer and I watch all the wonderful pictures on the screen. Sometimes I even see some animals. You would think I hardly walk but at 15#, all this closeness is short-lived. I have to get down or snuggle close on their chair else they complain about my "high-heeled shoes." Imagine, I don't even wear shoes! When I'm near them I close my eyes and dream of all the worms I'll dig up in the yard.
Oh, I didn't tell you, I'm a real good digger of worms. Ever since I was months old, I'd root them out of the grass for a tasty treat. I alerted my Mom once to a scorpion in the house and she was so pleased that I make sure she knows of all the bugs that get in the house. She tells me what a good dog I am for alerting her to danger. Heck, all I do is get eye-level with these silly creatures and bark. I'm never too close and since I'm not prone to barking, this is their clue to "come see what I found."
I really have a dog's life - nut'n but lots of love. Thanks again for letting me come live with these great people. I really could not be happier.
Love & Hugs,

P.S. Mom helped me write this. You know my Mom as Linda. She and Channing said to tell you, "Hello". So, HELLO!
